Your Say
The Crawley Older Persons Forum (COPF) meets 11 times a year with the aim of maintaining the profile of older people’s needs in Crawley. It acts as a focus for voluntary, community and statutory agencies working together to help all older people. It provides a forum where the views and concerns regarding older person’s issues in Crawley are considered and taken forward. Older Crawley residents meet, discuss and agree on which issues to campaign on, and which services should be the priorities to develop and improve. In this way, COPF informs and steers the Crawley Neighbourhood Network as it goes about its business.
COPF promote the help available from member groups through regular events and relevant publicity opportunities.
Examples of current issues being addressed are:
- Transport between Crawley and East Surrey Hospital
- Supermarket portions for single people
- Are our streets ready for winter?
Committee members are from a range of cultures and encompass all ages.
The meeting dates for 2010 are 29/3 26/4 17/5 14/6 26/7 13/9 all on a Monday.
Membership is open to any older person. Please contact Patricia Swain if you would like to join.
