Volunteering Opportunities
Our volunteers support older people with low-level needs, who need that ‘little bit of extra help’ or are at risk of social isolation.
As a volunteer there are a number of different tasks that you could become involved in:
- Social visiting/befriending
- Small repairs/DIY (excluding electrical work)
- Small decorating tasks
- Gardening
- Assistance with shopping
- Company on walks/outings
- Playing games
- Dog walking
- Transport to GP and other appointments
- Singing in the community
- Mobile phone training
- Computer training and support
- Impact Tasty Team
A particular feature of Crawley Neighbourhood Network is its neighbourhood focus. Volunteers are generally recruited from areas they know or live in.
In this way, you will be involved directly with building a caring neighbourhood network of your own, with the people most local to you.
